Trauma Therapy for Women

Trauma therapy for women, at your pace.

A soft place to do hard work, in Winter Park and Orlando, and by secure telehealth anywhere in Florida.

Maybe you've been carrying something for a long time. Maybe you've already talked it through, with a friend, in a journal, or late at night with an AI chat, and you understand it better than ever. And still, it hasn't let go. That's often when women find their way to me, and if that's where you are, I'm glad you're here.

Who this is for

I built Flourish around women's healing. Some of the women I sit with are living with sexual abuse or assault, whether it happened recently or a long time ago. Some carry childhood or relational trauma that still shapes how they feel about themselves. Others are coming out of a relationship that left them doubting their own instincts.

Sometimes it shows up in quieter ways, too:

  • Anxiety, panic, or sleep that never settled after something happened
  • Grief, or a season that simply feels too heavy
  • Looking fine on the outside while you hold it all together on the inside

You don't need a diagnosis, and you don't need to have it all figured out. Wanting something to change is enough to start.

Healing doesn't require reliving it

You don't have to retell your story over and over to set it down. The work tends to unfold in three movements, and you set the pace for each one.

  • Safety first. We start by building trust and helping you feel grounded. Nothing happens before you're ready.
  • Resolve, don't relive. When you're ready, we use guided approaches like EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help your brain reprocess painful memories, so they finally feel like the past.
  • Grow forward. With the past quieter, we work on the skills and self-understanding that carry you into steadier, fuller days.

I'll never keep you longer than is helpful.

If you've been talking to AI about it

If you've been working through things with ChatGPT or another AI tool, you're not doing it wrong. Putting feelings into words is real work, and it can help you notice patterns. What I can add is a person in the room with you, someone trained to notice what goes unsaid and to keep you safe while we work through hard memories. You're welcome to bring what you've written. If it helps, journaling with AI between sessions can become part of our work, too.

A little about me

I'm Cristina, and I'm the owner of Flourish. I'm passionate about walking alongside trauma survivors, leading groups, and using expressive arts in healing. My work has included serving survivors of human trafficking and leading recovery groups for women across the Orlando area. Read more about me.

Whatever brought you here, be patient with yourself. It will be an honor to walk alongside you.

You are not what happened to you. With the right support, the person underneath it can finally flourish.
